Description

Welcome to the latest auctions from Tropical Beat Records, after a 6-month break I will once again be offering some rare Jamaican music ranging from the 60's to the present and some other miscellaneous goodies from the vaults, enjoy

THE ABYSSINIANS "Satta" aka "Satta Masa Gana" aka "Forward On To Zion" This seminal Roots album has been released many times over the years under various titles, this is the first 1977 pressing on Azul (US) produced by Clive 'Azul' Hunt & distributed out of New York by Magic Fire records, beyond crucial a total must have but low starting bid due to shape

*a note about condition-track 1 on side A skips about 30 seconds into track & clicks occasionally, track 1 on Side B skips about halfway through & clicks, track 3 on Side B repeats about halfway through, the rest of the album fluctuates between VG to VG+ so some tracks play average and others play very clean and strong, it's very hit and miss. Cover is in pretty good shape some corner wear but no splits, the letter '2' is written very small on upper left front cover, clean back cover no writing, either way a crucial release and one of the better pressings of this landmark album

A SIDE CONDITION - VG-

B SIDE CONDITION - VG- (clean label no writing)

GRADING SCALE - M, M-, VG+, VG, VG-, G+, G (all records play & sight graded, cleaned & hit with Gruv Glide before shipping)
