********************************* This is a superb Kiwi 1st pressing of Acca Dacca’s third studio recording with rough 'n' tough vocalist Brian Johnson at the point, Flick of the Switch, pulls no punches and picks up where For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) left off. Like the no-frills black 'n' white cover sleeve, the 1983 switch-flickin' release is another onslaught of ball-bustin' metallic boogie. In the time honoured tradition of AC/DC they go straight for the jugular with short and to the point kick-ass rock.
While some may argue that the Bon era represents the high watermark for AC/DC, this overlooked platter challenges anything they’d previously released. Quite simply, “Flick of the Switch” is a veteran band baring its fangs, and the result is nothing short of a high-flying riff monster. Call it emancipation from the Mutt Lange era, but Brian Johnson’s vocal attack is relentless, song after song. Angus’ riffing has a raw, bluesy spunk not heard since the late-70s gems. While the album teems with in-the-pocket heaviness, “Nervous Shakedown”, “Landslide” and the fantastic Zepish “Badlands” are some of the hottest moments.
From a collectors view the far fewer number of albums were pressed in New Zealand than here plus there is the slightly different and darker label print.

CONDITION – see 4 photos above :
Vinyl - play-tested completely both sides : Looks and tracks along brilliantly. Clean both sides and a lovely sound. No spindle marks and only lightly played. A terrific sound and clear as a bell. No pops. No skips. One small mark noticeable only which is of no consequence during play-back. Rated a strong EX+ easily.
Labels : Clean.
Inner Sleeve: Clean with the exception of some light soil marks.
Sleeve : a top cover in A1 condition. No writing. No splits. No ring-wear.
