Description

Lovely copy of the 1980 first pressing of AC/DC’s classic Back in Black LP on Atlantic SD-16018. Original embossed cover and photo inner sleeve. Masterdisk pressing mastered by Robert Ludwig, whose initials are in the runoffs. The disc is just beautiful and plays pretty near flawlessly. There are some very light superficial scuffs but they don’t affect the play at all. No pops, ticks, or barely even any light crackle at all. There is a very, very tiny storage warp that juat barely rises and falls at the beginning of each side but it is barely detectable and makes absolutely no difference in the sound. Really this is a gorgeous disc. The cover has a bit of edge and corner whitening, and some minor surface scuffing and faint ringwear, but it is actually relatively clean. Commonly these covers are terribly worn. Being all black it shows wear really strongly, and can really get lots of ringwear and distracting scuffing over time. This one has a little but not bad. The lower right corner has the most rubbing, and a tiny bit of a soft crease. Not bad at all. Really a quite decent cover. The inner is also included, in excellent shape. A truly lovely original overall. Hard to top.
