The first single by the Valentines with Vince Lovegrove doing lead vocals, and Bon Scott Doing back up vocals on the (B) side "Everyday I Have to Cry"
And Bon Scott doing a dynamite job on the lead vocals on the (A) side "I Can’t Dance With You"
The vinyl is marked with some scratches that cause a few forward skips on both sides.
ALL skips are small forward skips - the record does play through on both sides.
I have counted the amount of skips, and timed the play-length of this record, to determine how much of the song is lost to skips.
Timing is taken from the first to last sound in my ear - which is to say, the timing is not inclusive of the dead-wax.
Side A
I can't dance with you
Play length is supposed to be - 2:53
Number of forward skips - 5 (4 are within the first 5 seconds, 1 is in the middle)
After forward skips, play length is actually - 2:40
13 seconds lost.
Plays with light to moderate surface noise

Everyday I have to cry
Play length is supposed to be - 2:29
Number of forward skips - 8 (all in a row about 2/3 through the song)

*The scratches that cause the skips, run across the groove at 90 degrees, not with the groove - these are a lot easier to repair (if you are that way inclined).
All records are play-tested.
This is critically important when buying vinyl.
For example - I have 2 copies of High Voltage on LP - one is very heavily marked and pretty ugly... but by some miracle - it plays through uninterrupted,(but with noisy parts) - the other is visually NM, but has two faults, that you need a magnifying glass to see, and they both cause one skip each - they are probably tiny dings where the needle has been dropped.
Visual grading is not good for the buyer.
