The sixth Australian and fifth internationally released studio album from AC/DC, and their final album with vocalist Bon Scott, who died in February 1980.
This a first pressing on the dark blue Alberts label. The 1981 repress is almost indistinguishable except that the label is black. That one is worth somewhat less than this first pressing. I'm not sure what makes these Australian pressings so valuable except maybe that the band is from OZ. The Australian covers are notoriously flimsy too. I've seen G+/VG copies of this record going for over $100.00!!! Go figure.
The cover of this copy is VG with a notch but just above the lower left corner, a little visible ring wear, and some marks but no seam splits. The vinyl looks like a strong VG+ (a few light marks), but I personally play-tested the entire album and it plays better than a VG+ record. There was only one incident I heard, on "Highway To Hell," one little audible tick. That was it. A play-tested record is certainly better than one just visually graded because you know what you're getting; no surprises. Considering the quality of the vinyl, I believe this is a fair price.
