Original United States Mono pressing of this hard to find album. This is the debut LP by Jake Holmes, released in 1967. This record gets a positive review by Patrick Lundborg on page 151 of his book “Acid Archives The Second Edition”. Among the things Patrick writes are, “‘Dazed And Confused’ and ‘Frantic’ will both have you in disbelief that such intensity can be reached without drums,” and “for 1967 it’s pretty mindblowing stuff, and later folk psych would sound nothing like it”.
COVER: The cover is structurally sound with no seam splitting. It has one small rub in the top right corner. It has the number “818” written on the top left edge and one small drill hole in the top left corner. This jacket has an area at the bottom that has been wet, causing some dry mold and mildew in this part, which is more noticeable on the back. The jacket has some ring wear and light surface wear. If the molding was not present, this cover would grade VG+, but because of this issue we are grading it VG.
