Description
"Kitty From Kansas City" one sided, brown shellac, 78 rpm disc
Imprinted around it the label is "House Band - Kitty - TO188 - May 27, 1930"
also "1346X3" or 7346X3" (I couldn't tell if the first digit is 1 or 7)
The "TO" may indicate "Test Only"
Please note the date of May 28, 1930 is written on the label, and the date of May 27, 1930 is etched into the disc, I suspect the May 27, 1930 date is correct
This is similar to the version by Andrian Schubert And His Salon Orchestra with vocal by Irving Kaufman that was issued on Vocalion Record No. 692 - sounds like the same personnel, including vocal by Irving Kaufman, and the recording date is the same, however this is definitely a different version
Personnel on the above referenced recording included Bob Effros, Miff Mole, Tony Parenti & Charlie Magnante - I don't know if this version includes the same personnel
Disc is in good to very good condition with light surface scratches. Sound is very good, disc sounds better than it looks. Plays with no skips, no cracks, etc.
