NOTE: The vinyl is very nice, it looks like it has not been played much. It plays nice and quiet BUT this is an amateur recording. Given that, the audio on this is pretty decent compared to other live bootlegs I've heard, AND this is a double LP, so it has lots of songs on it. The cover is still in shrink, the writing is on the shrink-wrap. Yes, those are the labels, and yes, it originally came with those heavy vinyl inner sleeves (I will provide 2 nice rice paper inner sleeves for you).

RECORD GRADING & POLICIES

Please take a moment to read the following. It is my sincerest wish that your expectations be met when you receive a record from me.

SEALED* is exactly what the term implies, a record that is still in the factory shrink-wrap, unopened.

NM NEAR MINT is as nice as a used record can be. I will rarely list used records as NM, but if I do, it is definitely a play grade. More often than not I will grade down to EX just to be safe.

EX EXCELLENT is usually my highest grade for a used record. Nearly perfect sound quality throughout, from run-ins/outs and song gaps to quiet passages, a near-perfect record. There are still imperfections, but they are so minor and so few in number that the vinyl compares favorably to a new record.

VG+ VERY GOOD PLUS is still a great piece of vinyl for most listeners, but there may be tiny bits of background in the run-ins/outs and song gaps. There may be a few light ticks over the course of the entire record, but still nice. No skips, no loud pops, no repetitive ticking scratches. The music has its original fidelity, without distortion from groove-wear.

VG VERY GOOD is as low as I go for selling used records, except for cases where collectibility trumps quality. Anything less goes to Goodwill. This grade should be borderline for serious collectors and avid music listeners. The majority of the record will be enjoyable, but it may contain a light repetitive ticking scratch or have some minor distortion in places. It may just have too many little crackly bits overall to get a higher grade.

Customer satisfaction begins with grading the record - my vinyl grade is a play grade. I am not a record dealer, I am a record collector, and I listen to my records. If the record came from my personal collection, the grade is a solid play grade. If the record was something I was given, or acquired in bulk or in trade, it has still been checked. At the very least, I put the needle on every record I sell; I check run-ins/outs, a few gaps and listen to a few different spots for any background noise/distortion. I check any scratch that looks like it may be audible.

As a listener, I don't care much for records that are only graded visually. Records with groove wear and no scratches end up being listed WAY too highly for me. I do my best to grade strictly and conservatively. Please compare my photos to my sleeve and label grades to get an idea of how I grade. Most of the time, the visual grade will match the play grade I am giving the vinyl. In rare cases where the record may sound much better than it looks, this will be specifically mentioned in the item description. I always try to expose the record's wear/flaws in my photos.

My system may not be world-class, but it is more than 'revealing' enough for grading records. I have a Rega P2 with an Ortofon Blue stylus, and a Rega Mira.
