AEROSMITH - The First Decade (1982) 9 Vinyl, LP Box Set "For Promotion Only".
My Brother-In-Law worked in the record business back in the day for over 50 years. He received this Aerosmith Promo Box Set in the early 80s and gave it to me unopened in 1982 or 83. I am the only owner of this Set. In fact, although I opened it and looked at all the albums I never once played a single record and the are all in excellent condition.
All are in their original sleeves and covers and are stamped with the gold, "For Promotion Only" on the back of the covers.
I understand through my research that there is some debate of white label promos vs traditional labels on the records but I can attest that although all of these records have Colombia's Red Label they all came marked as Promos in a sealed Promo Box.
The record covers are all in excellent condition except for the white Draw the Line cover which has some coloration from the darker albums to each side of it in the box and a small cut from what may have been a fingernail pressing into the cover at the very top front. The Live! Bootleg album has the original poster and has never been unfolded.
The outer box is in Very Good shape. The binder is in tact. There are a few dinks and scuffs to the corners and edges. Also along the top of the box there is damage from something that may have scratched against it and some of the black is damaged. (See picture.)
The Albums included in this Set are: Aerosmith (1973), Get Your Wings (1974), Toys in the Attic (1975), Rocks (1976), Draw the Line (1977), Live! Bootleg which has 2 LPs and a poster (1978), Night in the Ruts (1979) and Greatest Hits (1980).
Condition is "Used". Buyer to pay $30 for Priority Mail.
I would like to update a flaw on the outer box. The flap to the right of the box is missing. I had thought as I was listing it that it was meant to have only the three sides (the left binder, top and bottom) and the right side was where I cut it open. Upon further inspection I can see that the flap on the right is missing. Therefore I would like to amend the outer box as Good rather than Very Good. All other details as described remain the same. 3-7-2021 at 10:15 pm
