Description
On offer is a 12” LP record produced by Melbourne radio station 3KZ in 1979. It contains highlights of the 1979 grand final plus interviews with some Carlton and Collingwood players (Jim Buckley, Curly Austin, Mark McClure / Craig Davis / Ray Byrne) after the game. The commentary is taken from the original radio broadcast by the 3KZ football panel headed by Ian Major, Jack Dyer and Ted Whitten.
It is part of an era long gone.
Each year 3KZ produced an LP of highlights from that year’s grand final. As far as I know it came in a plain paper sleeve (as this one is). The record had limited distribution. They are now very hard to find. Particularly in as good a condition as this one.
The record is in VERY GOOD+++ condition. Has three or four light marks but these don’t affect playing or listening enjoyment.
