Bola de Nieve was much appreciated outside of his native country, especially in Mexico - but in Cuba he was received differently. An annual selection of the most outstanding artists includes Bola in the category of "musical eccentric". Between 1944 and 1959 no national label was interested in him, and it was in 1960 that the Sonotone label invited him to record in Havana. Remarkably, Sonotone became the first label to record Bola in Cuba. Presented here are the historic sessions and the resulting original album that captures Bola exactly as he performed, with just voice and piano, interpreting the songs he loved best, performing them from deep within his heart and soul. This is a document of a truly unique artist at the top of his game. This is Bola de Nieve.

Cuban records from the 50's or 60's are rarely in EX condition, I rate most of them VG and sometimes VG+, but again, this is very subjective. .. If you have any problems, please let me know as soon as possible. I have innumerable rare Cuban records and they will be auctioned little by little

(NM) Near perfect vinyl, unused open

(EX) May have a minor mark or two.

(VG+) Decent copy. It will have some scratches and scuffs, some light noise, but generally it will sound great.

(VG) Your average used vinyl. Superfcial marks and scratches, but still disc can be enjoyed with some apparent background noise.

(G+) Very used vinyl. A large number of scratches on almost all of the vinyl. It will play with ticks and pops, and a good level of background noise.

(G) Poor copy, serves as a sample. It can be touched. In some cases it might skip on any track, but it will have a lot of surface noise mixing in with the music.
