Hey everyone, hold onto whatever you can because you're in for some mindblowing finds this week! We snuck away for a few days and returned with a treasure trove of music. We're listing only a few items this evening as a preview for what's to come. We'll plan on listing next Tuesday following the Memorial Day weekend, so have a safe holiday and see you early next week! Also, make sure you come into our ebay store "Search And Rescue Records" during the interim time as we'll also add much of what we found straight into the store. You are bidding on the SEALED 1971 LP "Gospel Hard Rock" by Agape on Mark Records, cat.#MRS-2170. "Jesus Rock at it's crustiest" according to Paul Baker in his book Contemporary Christian Music. Ken Scott's book Archivist, 3rd Ed. compares the group to Hendrix, both the music and lead vocalist Fred Caban's singing. States Scott, "not just a three-chord bash-these songs have mood and texture to them. You'll find quiet understated passages here as well as the hard-driving guitar solos. Atmosphere too, as on the eerie "Rejoice" which narrates tribulation prophecies against a panapoly of guitar-induced missles, earthquakes, and whatnot" PLEASE NOTE: This is the second version of the album that was released with individual photos of the band members on back cover and the title "Gospel Hard Rock" which is on the spine. The original had a group shot of the band live. Just want to make sure you know which version you're bidding on! Songs include Blind/Happy/Believe/Man/Trust/Freedom/Choose/Blood/Rejoice. Since this one is SEALED, LP/Cover both in excellent condition. All of my LP's are used unless noted as still sealed (SS) and been played to insure quality. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM.
