AGROVATORS Meets the Revolutioners at Channel 1 lp 1977 Third World UK 1st press exc+
Third World TWS 900 Matrixes: JULP+103+A / JULP+103+B
Sleeve: Exc+ - Some edge wear (small creases along spine mainly) and some ring wear visible on rear sleeve, otherwis fine intact and still well-glossy fronted sleeve. Spine lettering all clear. Poly lined inner.
Vinyl: Exc+ - In ordinary light the vinyl appears clean and free from scratches, though in stronger light some hairline scratches will be visible. Side 2, track 3 has a small speck of something lodged in a groove which I was unable to clean off. This makes a couple of pops when played, but otherwise sound is clear and free of all but occasional surface noise, noticeable mainly on the run in grooves.
Quite apart from the fine dub instrumental music by a roster of some of the best Jamaican musicians of the period, this one is worth a punt for the sleeve notes, which are quite extraordinary.
