AHMAD JAMAL TRIO “The Awakening” 1986 Reissue SEALED! Audiophile Press MINT!


Sealed and presumed MINT vinyl. There is a hint of rubbing on the shrink wrap from 35+ years of storage. There is also a hole punched on the top left corner, as this copy was distributed to record retail for in-store play. The album was originally released in 1970, and given the an audiophile treatment for this reissue in 1986. Digitally remastered from the original master tapes, and pressed on premium virgin vinyl at the KM pressing plant. This has to be among the finest copies of this Lp available for purchase.


An important release, Jamal’s piano style is unique and elegant. This album has an influence at Hip-Hop with sampling used by NAS and Common.
