HERE are BOTH records, made five years apart, by the famed Evangelist and media celebrity AIMEE SEMPLE McPHERSON, and her new husband, DAVID HUTTON.
The first record, 784-D, is Aimee solo, in her quite arousing sermon, "COME UNTO ME" and the "Negro Spiritual," "I AIN'T A-GONNA GRIEVE."
The second record, 2561-D, is a rare souvenir of Aimee's (brief!) marriage to her third husband, DAVID HUTTON. These two lovebirds really mix it up, talking on one side, and singing lustily on the other, "CALVARY'S ROSE." Obviously, with all the billing and cooing, this was during the"honeymoon" phase. They broke up shortly afterward!
These two original 1926 and 1931 Columbia records, 784-D and the quite scarce 2561-D respectively are in E and VV+ condition. Some blasting and distortion on the latter.
PHOTOS: 1) Sister Aimee at the pulpit; 2) Happy honeymoon breakfasting, 1931. Hutton is such an obvious bounder and cad! Aimee filed for divorce when she saw pictures of him cavorting with scantily clad Angelus Temple maidens!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.” I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
