MERCURY LABEL 1972 FIRST US PRESSING WITH GATEFOLD SLEEVE IN NEAR MINT PLAYING CONDITION.

 

STEREO SRM 1 - 644

 

Released in 1972 on the red MERCURY label, I am offering today this original first US STEREO pressing of this classic Afro funk album from AKIDO which is simply titled "AKIDO".

The album was produced by ex Small Faces Ronnie Lane and is an original Mercury label first US pressing which comes complete with hard card gatefold sleeve and company inner sleeve which are in clean condition with fully legible spine and no unwanted writing or stickers etc but there is a drill hole in the bottom left corner which also goes through the inner sleeve and there is a two inch split to the top edge.

I have just played this through for these listing purposes and I am pleased to say that it plays well with absolutely no sticks or skips etc.

 

 

The VINYL, The vinyl visually and audibly is in near mint barely played condition. it plays nicely with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc. 

The SLEEVE, The gatefold sleeve is in clean excellent condition with no stickers or unwanted writing etc but has a drill hole in the bottom left corner and there is a two inch split to the top edge.  

The LABELS, The first issue Mercury labels are extremely clean, showing no spindle traces. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

The INNER, The Mercury company inner is clean and free from unwanted writing etc but like the sleeve has a drill hole in the corner.

 

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
