Condizioni : la copertina mostra esclusivamente del leggero raggrinzimento negli angoli; grande stato, NEAR MINT / la fascetta Obi è in perfetto stato / il poster (74 x 53 centimetri) raffigurante una selezione di scene dai vari films (immagine n° 3) è ugualmente in perfette condizioni / così come l'inserto con foto in b/n ed annotazioni in Giapponese / il picture disc con bei disegni sui due lati (immagini n° 4 e 5) è come nuovo e l'ascolto è senza difetti, grande stato, MINT-

Condition : cover only shows a few slight creasing in the corners, NEAR MINT / Obi strip is in perfect condition / poster (74 x 53 cm), depicting a selection of scenes from the various films (picture No. 3), is equally in perfect condition / as well as the insert with b/w photos  and Japanese annotations / the picture disc with beautiful artistic graphics on both sides (images No. 4 and 5) looks as new and its listening is flawless, MINT-

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : in occasione dell'uscita nelle sale cinematografiche del film "Gojira" uscito anche negli Stati Uniti con il titolo "Godzilla's Revenge" così come in altri Paesi, venne deciso di stampare un long playing che oltre a contenere tre brani di quest'ultimo film raccogliesse vari brani da altri Godzilla del passato. La confezione è bella sia per il poster che per i due lati del picture disc ma soprattutto i compositori sono importanti e la loro musica è bella. 17 i brani di cui quattro canzoni. S'incomincia con Akira Ifukube ed il suo ottimo metodo compositivo abitualmente classicheggiante e di grande personalità ricco di molte sfaccettature che possono essere completamente compresi solo con ascolti attenti. Qui è presente con sei brani. Tra questi: "Native Son" (b4) caratterizzato dal rapido cantato del coro con un accompagnamento percussivo e "Tapkaara" (b6) in cui l'orchestra evoca un'atmosfera di pericolo su un tessuto molto percussivo. Un altro grande compositore: Masaru Satô. La sua "Beat Mechagodzilla" (a3) possiede ritmo veloce, buona batteria e la bella interpretazione vocale dell'attrice Coreana Beru-Bera Lin. Tra gli altri compositori troviamo "Fighting" (a4) di Riichiro Manabe ricco di effetti sonori striduli, ritmo ossessivo e soluzioni sperimentali, "Boy's" (a7) di Kunio Miyauchi, brano strumentale ritmicamente veloce guidato da un'ottima chitarra elettrica, organo fiati e batteria, "Call Happiness" (b2) di Hiroshi Miyagawa (il resto della colonna sonora del film è di Ifukube) che è una ballata lenta con sonorità evocanti atmosfere di mistero ben cantata dai particolari timbri delle sorelle gemelle Emi e Yumi Itó, famosissime in Giappone fino alla metà degli anni 70 come The Peanuts. Al di là della sua bella confezione, l'album è molto interessante sia per il suo intrinseco contenuto musicale che come documento storico.

Notes : on the occasion in cinemas of the film "Gojira" also released in the US under the title "Godzilla's Revenge" as well as in other Countries, it was decided to print a long playing that in addition to containing three pieces of the latter movie would gather several tunes by other Godzilla movies of the past. The album is nice both for the poster and for the two sides of the picture disc but above all the composers are important and their music is beautiful. 17 tracks including four songs. One begins with Akira Ifukube and his excellent method compositional usually from classical nature and great personality full of many facets that can be fully understood only with attentive listening. Here is present with six tracks. Among them: "Native Son" (b4) characterized by the rapid singing of the chorus with a percussive accompaniment and "Tapkaara" (b6) in which the orchestra evokes an atmosphere of danger on a very percussive texture. Another great composer: Masaru Satô. His "Beat Mechagodzilla" (a3) has fast rhythm, good drumming and the beautiful vocal performance of the Korean actress Beru-Bera Lin. Among the other composers we find "Fighting" (a4) of Riichiro Manabe full of shrill sound effects, obsessive rhythm and experimental solutions, "Boy's" (a7) by Kunio Miyauchi, an instrumental track rhythmically fast led by an excellent electric guitar, organ wind instruments and drums, "Call Happiness" (b2) by Hiroshi Miyagawa (the rest of the film soundtrack is by Ifukube) which is a slow ballad with sonorities evoking an atmosphere with mystery well sung by the special timbres of the twin sisters Emi and Yumi Itó well renowned in Japan until the mid-70s as the Peanuts. Apart from the very nice outward aspect, the album is remarkable both for its intrinsic musical content and as important historical document.
