Description
The eponymous Aktuala's LP is the first one of this series, made by an 'open musical collective' from milan, a fixed nucleus with many different contributes from guest musicians. As the Third Ear Band have always been inserted in the international prog panorama, the same happened with Aktuala, who were real music pioneers able to blend world, ethnic, jazz and avant-garde music.
"Aktuala" was not accidentally released in 1973 on Bla Bla Records, the same record label who had Camisasca, Battiato and Osage Tribe in its roster. Nothing like that had ever been heard in Italy before, and Aktuala were the first ones importing and deeply studying sounds and instruments coming from Asia and Africa.
This LP reissue follows the recent CD digipack edition, and is a faithful reproduction of the original release.

L'omonimo LP degli Aktuala costituisce la prima release del complesso milanese, che sarebbe corretto definire come un 'collettivo musicale aperto', ossia un nucleo fisso che si avvaleva dei contributi di diversi ospiti. Inseriti nel calderone del panorama progressivo italiano così come la Third Ear Band è sempre stata annoverata nello scenario prog internazionale, gli Aktuala erano dei veri e propri esploratori musicali capaci di fondere world music, musica etnica, jazz e avanguardia.
"Aktuala", esordio pubblicato nel 1973, uscì non a caso su etichetta Bla Bla Records, la stessa che accolse nel proprio roster artisti quali Camisasca, Battiato e Osage Tribe. Non si era mai sentito nulla del genere in Italia fino a quel momento, ed agli Aktuala va il merito di essere stati i primi ad importare e studiare a fondo strumenti e suoni provenienti da Asia ed Africa.
Questa riedizione in LP segue la recente ristampa in digipack CD e costituisce una fedele replica dell'originale.
