BEDSITTER IMAGES
1967 uk CBS Mono. BPG-63087 (A1-B1). VG+++. Here is a very rare original uk mono first pressing of 'Al Stewart's' brilliant 1967 debut psych-folk album. This debut album was withdrawn from shops as 'Al' was not entirely happy with the mix as he thought it was over-orchestrated, so it was re-mixed and then released again in 1970 with completely different artwork and a slightly different track-listing. This is by far his rarest official uk album. This original 1967 mono copy is in near excellent condition and both sides play and sound very near excellent with the minimal amount of background noise. This musically superb very rare 1967 folk-psych album does not surface for sale as a mono first pressing very often at all, and it may be a while before another gets offered again. THICK MONO VINYL = NR-EX
Both sides of the thick mono vinyl are in very near excellent condition. The vinyl still has a nice original sheen with just a few very fine hairlines and just a few other very light top surface marks that have no affect on play, there are no nasty deep scratches so there are no areas of continuous loud clicks or pops or annoying loud crackle, there is just one surface mark near the start of side one that causes just a few repeated very light background tics, this really is very minor and low level and so does not spoil the enjoyment of listening to the album, the sound quality is still excellent throughout all tracks with no lessoning in the warm mono audio. This is just a very rare original mono first pressing that plays and sounds really great and will not disappoint.
ORANGE CBS LABELS = EX
The slightly textured first press mono Cbs labels are in excellent clean condition with just a handle of spindle traces per side.
'E.J.DAY' FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE = VG+
The front laminated single sleeve was made and printed in the uk by 'E.J.Day' and grades near excellent condition. The front lamination still has a excellent reflective glossy sheen, there are only a few very small lamination shifts/lines, the front also has a slight wavy affect (see pics), the back cover does not so i would say that this wavy look is due to the fronk lamination shrinking. The matt back is still pretty clean but with some slight marking and discolouration due to age, there is also a small worn area where some of the writing can no longer be read. The top edge has a small seem split at it's centre but the bottom edge is almost perfect, the spine is also in really great shape with all text clear and easy to read.
