GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : Alain Goraguer, compositore, arrangiatore, collaboratore importante di ben noti artisti come Boris Vian e Serge Gainsbourg ma soprattutto grande appassionato di Jazz. Qui riesce a dare un'entusiasmante prova di questa sua passione componendo sei brani interamente dedicati alla musica jazz. Inoltre dirige i musicisti e suona magnificamente il pianoforte. Anche per la maggiore durata i brani più interessanti sono a mio modesto avviso "Générique", ossia il tema con cui si apre o conclude il film, dal ritmo vivace con assoli di sassofono, pulsante contrabbasso e buona presenza della sezione fiati e "Attente". Qui il ritmo ha un andamento moderato con belle esecuzioni di pianoforte, basso, tromba e batteria. Segnalo anche "Jazz de Chine" con un interessante alternanza ed anche fusione di sonorità orientali e musica jazz.

Notes : Alain Goraguer, composer, arranger, important sideman and assistant of well-known artists such as Boris Vian and Serge Gainsbourg, but especially a great jazz enthusiast. Here he is able to give an exciting proof of this passion composing six tracks entirely devoted to jazz music. He also conducts the musicians and plays the piano magnificently. Even for the longer duration the most interesting tracks are in my humble opinion "Générique", that is the opening or ending theme of the film, from the lively rhythm with sax solos, pulsating double bass and good presence of the wind instruments and "Attente". Here the rhythm has a moderate development with beautiful performances of piano, bass, trumpet and drums. Finally I mention "Jazz de Chine" with an interesting alternation and also fusion of oriental sonorities and jazz music.

Una divertente commedia in un film di produzione Francese. Regia di Jean Laviron, con Roger Pierre, Jean-Marc Thibault e Jacqueline Maillan.
