Perhaps the finest volume of ALAN LOMAX's field-recording LPs, with passionate, raw, moving performances by FRED McDOWELL, FOREST CITY JOE, BOY BLUE,  LONNIE YOUNG, JOHN DUDLEY and ROSALIE HILL. Gorgeous mono original contains four-page slick paper insert booklet. 

CONDITION: [jacket] Almost flawless! Gorgeous gloss to stiff,  hard-shell laminated cardboard jacket. Slight wear to corner tips. Very light ringwear or rubwear to back of jacket. Front looks like it's new out of the shrink wrap--if, indeed, these early Atlantic LPs were shrink-wrapped... A strong VF jacket.

[booklet] Almost LP-size blue slick-paper booklet has light but visible thumbing. Corners are neat

[disc] Lustrous vinyl has some very light surface and storage scuffs. I have played this twice since its purchase in 1995. Vinyl is still in its stock inner paper sleeve!) Vinyl is a strong VF+ overall.
