UP FOR AUCTION IS AN EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL 7" 45 SINGLE WITH PICTURE SLEEVE BY ALANIS - FATE STAY WITH ME B/W FIND THE RIGHT MAN.
ALANIS IS ACTUALLY ALANIS MORISSETTE BEFORE SHE BECAME A STAR!!
IT WAS RELEASED IN CANADA IN 1987 ON LAMOR RECORDS, LMR-10-12.

THE RECORD IS IN EXCELLENT (EX) CONDITION WITH A FEW LIGHT SCUFFS VISIBLE UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT!!
THE PICTURE SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT (EX) CONDITION WITH SOME LIGHT CREASING!! THERE ARE NO SPLITS, TEARS, STAINS, WRITING, ETC!THERE IS SOME GLARE IN THE IMAGES!! PLEASE IGNORE!!

GRADING SCALE: (BASED ON THE GOLDMINE GRADING SCALE. I USE EX & NM- TO MORE ACCURATELY DESCRIBE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD. MY POSITIVE FEEDBACK SAYS THAT MY RECORDS ARE IN AS GOOD OR BETTER CONDITION THAN DESCRIBED.)
Mint - NOT USED. Even a brand new record can have minor imperfections!
Near mint (NM) - Record looks like it was just opened, unplayed. No visible or audible flaws.
Near mint minus (NM-) - Records is near perfect with maybe a very light scuff or two.
Excellent (EX) - Record is very nice and looks seldom played. There may be a few very light scuffs. Little to no surface noise should be present on playback.
Very Good Plus (VG+) - Record is in pretty nice shape and should play with only light noise, mostly noticeable between tracks. There may be some light scuffs and a few light surface scratches visible.
Very Good (VG) - Record has been well played. It should play without skipping or sticking but with a significant amount of noise (hiss, pops, crackle, etc).
Good (G) - Record should play through but will more than likely have a high noise level. Slight skips are acceptable. Visually the record will most likely have a lot of scuffs and surface marks.
Poor (P) - Record may not be playable. If so, there will mostly likely be a high noise level throughout. Visually the record is obviously damaged, warped, very scratched or possibly cracked.

"With the earnings from the television show, Morissette produced her first single on her own label, Lamor Records. The 1987 release, “Fate Stay with Me,” was recorded with the musical expertise from former members of the Stampeders, Canadian rockers who had a 1971 hit with “Sweet City Woman.” As a single written by a thirteen-year-old, “Fate Stay with Me” was no monster hit but did attract the attention of MCA Canada, who signed Morissette."

"We decided to go ahead anyway, and release the song on a 45rpm single. ALANIS and I came up with a record label name, LAMOR RECORDS. The L stood for LINDSAY the A for ALANIS, and MOR is the start of MORGAN and MORISSETTE. Also it sounds like the French word for "love", L'AMOUR.

We made 1300 copies, and using MPL PROMOTIONS, run by RICH'S wife MARY LYNN DODSON; we did our best to get a "hit record" on radio. We got good response, and in some cases excellent, but never quite in the numbers we needed."
