I actually am from Rockford Illinois and this was bought directly from the band back in the day! I have the VERY Rare and sought after ProgRock album Albatross from the mid-70's midwestern US band of the same name. This has been in my collection since the day it came out! Pressed on Anvil Records with the catalog #AT-100
The dust jacket (cover) is in good condition. Light wear at the corners and a split in the bottom seam. There are minor rub marks from sliding on and off the record shelf. All in all it looks great.
The album itself is in great condition with a few fingerprints and a couple surface scratches (they do NOT affect the play of the record).
I promise you will not be disappointed with this record. I have two copies otherwise I wouldn't be getting rid of this one. I own a small recording studio and have also made a digital transfer of this album for the winner of this auction.
I've seen copies of this album in similar condition going anywhere from $80 - $150. This is a great addition to the collection of any prog fan. These guys were definitely influenced by the Wakeman era Yes, with a touch of very early Styx. With the killer organ work of Mark Dahlgren you cannot go wrong with this album! Don't miss your chance to pick up a great representation of the progressive rock waves of the mid 70's. This is an EXTREMELY rare album and hard to come by!
