Description

Albert Ayler – Ghosts – Fontana Records 688 606 ZL – Original Dutch press mono promo LP 1964

Vinyl is in shiny VG++ condition with minor surface marks & a sample sticker on the side 1 label

Jacket is in VG++ condition with laminated sleeve, minor ringwear, corner dinks, some wear to the opening lip of the sleeve & a small square outline on top left corner (from a sticker being removed by previous owner, but hardly visible)

Musicians: Albert Ayler – Soprana & Tenor Saxophone, Don Cherry – Trumpet, Gary Peacock – Bass, Sunny Murray - Drums

Top rare original Jazz Album featuring the cult avant garde sax player Albert Ayler leading a quartet of heavyweight leftfield players including Don Cherry & Gary Peacock from a session in 1963. This is a highly scarce original Dutch issue LP on the collectable Fontana Records label (the Danish issue was released on Debut Records). This album is in beautiful condition with outstanding artwork and music. I really cannot stress how unusual it is to find an album this old and rare in such wonderful condition. This really will be the finest copy you’ve ever seen!
