ALBERT KING - RARE! FACTORY SEALED "NEW ORLEANS HEAT" MODERN ELECTRIC BLUES PRODUCED BY ALLEN TOUSSAINT IN 1978
Most electric blues collectors have three 'kings' in mind when they talk about the blues. BB, Freddie and Albert! Albert has been a major influence on aspiring players since the Great American Blues Revival took off in 1968! Thanks to college dates and regular appearances at Bill Graham's Fillmore West and East, Albert was out front with his left hand playing Flying V, attracting new fans with his distinctive tone and style. All the top Black and white blues players, from Robert Cray to Mike Bloomfield to Duane Allman to SRV incorporated his sound ideas into their music.
This album, which featured some of New Orlean's finest in support, including members of The Meters: George Porter Jr on bass, and Leo Nocentelli on guitar. Highlights include reworkings of King's 'Born Under A Bad Sign' and Toussaint's 'Get out of My Life Woman.'
A Factory Sealed copy auctioned as recently as January for over $60.00. This COPY has the brown Tomato logo inner sleeve that is the rarer version of this recording.
Of note: there is a 1/4" hole punched on the upper right corner on the front cover (for promotional purposes). That's how you can still identify the brown inner sleeve!
