Mirrow on the Wall / Forget Me Not
(YOUNGSTOWN, Y-602)
This just showed up on radars across the pond - an impossibly rare Northern Soul homerun - two sides penned by Isaac Hayes - sung by the soulfully sweet sounding unknown Alberta Weeks. Bottom of the label says "Penthouse Records, Inc, Memphis, TN." Listen to a clip of both sides.
The record grades VG-, vinyl still has some gloss but has lots of scuffs and surface scratches and a slight edge warp which doesn't affect play. Both sides play all the way through with some surface noise. "Mirrow" play with a bit more surface noise than "Forget". There are three audible clicks about a minute into "Mirrow" - check the audio clip. There is also a $1 price tag on the "forget" label, other than that the labels are in excellent shape.

RECORD GRADING
We grade conservatively, and aim to describe the records accurately. We grade visually according to Goldmine standards, with the addition of an Excellent (VG++)grade for the hazy grey area between Near Mint and VG+. This grade applies to records with one minor flaw that makes it no longer Near Mint, but still above VG+.
