ALEX HARVEY (pre SAHB) 1969 LP 'ROMAN WALL BLUES'

FONTANA STL5534 in EXCELLENT + CONDITION

Recorded at Philips Studios, London in 1969 prior to the formation of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, it contains many self penned tracks plus 'Donna' from 'Hair' the musical (Alex was in the pit band in london at the time). Also a great version of 'Jumping Jack Flash'! The single 'Midnight Moses' is also present.

This is a personal treasure for me as I was privileged to witness the recording of some of the tracks during early 1969. An amazing experience! Tracks were recorded 'live' with Alexs's brother Leslie on guitar. Derek Wadsworth and the guys from 'Hair' added the brass arrangements at a later date. Subsequently I met Alex and SAHB on many occassions at gigs around the south of England. He was truly a 'one-off'!

The record is in Excellent + (almost mint) condition, hence I've put a reserve price on this fabulous piece of music history. The cover is also in Excellent + condition.
