POLYDOR LABEL 1964 GERMAN ONLY ORIGINAL RARE FIRST STEREO PRESSING WITH GLOSSY SINGLE SLEEVE, IN EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION.

Released in 1964, I am offering today this rare original pressing on the POLYDOR label of this second album from Scottish rock legend ALEX HARVEY when he was a blues singer which is aptly titled "THE BLUES" For anyone that may not have heard it, it is a pure acoustic album which features Alex with his brother Leslie playing such classics as STRANGE FRUIT, HONEY BEE, THE BIG ROCK CANDY MOUNTAIN etc. A great blues album that did not sell in huge quantity and does not get offered too often. The vinyl which was pressed in Germany plays with excellent audio, you should not be disappointed.

The album comes complete with its original glossy single sleeve which is in clean condition with fully legible spine text and no splits stickers or unwanted writing etc but is showing some light edge wear and some discolouration on the back panel.

I have just played this through for these listing purposes and can state that it plays nicely with superb audio. Needless to say absolutely no sticks or skips etc.

A RARE ALBUM THAT EVERY HARVEY COLLECTOR SHOULD HAVE IN THEIR COLLECTION.

The VINYL, The heavy vinyl visually looks in excellent condition. The vinyl looks barely played. I have just played it through for these listing purposes and can state that it plays with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc.

The SLEEVE, The German printed glossy single sleeve is in clean condition with no splits or unwanted writing etc but shows edge wear.

The LABELS, The labels are very clean, showing virtually no spindle traces. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.

The INNER, The original generic inner is clean and free from any unwanted writing etc but is somewhat yellowed.

I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
