CONDITION: E lps with some marks and wear - I fully sound tested all 8 sides and they play very well. There is some occasional surface noise, but no skips or needle sticks. NM booklet. E large vinyl binder (edge taped with clear tape).

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: RARE mono 4 LP set in oversized vinyl binder with built-in inner sleeves and an insert booklet. Recorded in 1949 and issued in 1950, this set commemorates the 200th anniversary of Bach's death. Finding such an early title in this good of a condition is hard - and in over 40 years I have never seen this set before, only individual records from it. Provenance: from the estate of Juilliard violin professor MARGARET PARDEE, whose record collection and musical memorabilia I purchased at her estate sale in Long Island, NY in the Fall of 2016.

GRADING :

NM (+/-), E (+/-), VG (+/-)

This lp set has been sound-tested. In general I recommend cleaning all lps before playback, as most have not been machine cleaned.

NM+ usually means the lp looks brand new or was sealed and was recently opened (I rarely use this grade).

NM usually means that the lp has no significant marks and plays with little noise.

NM- will have some sleeve residue, minor surface wear, surface noise, and/or minor scuffs.

E will show medium wear or surface marks and will have surface noise.

VG will have heavier wear and significant marks/scratches and will play with considerable surface noise.

Jackets - I try to mention significant damage like seam splits, writing and corner creases, but most jackets will show some minor signs of age or shelf wear, even jackets rated NM. NM+ jackets are usually new or in original plastic.
