Alexander Skip Spence -Oar- (Dutch) CBS S 63919

The most bare-nerve, disturbing, honest and “real” major label release ever, as Skip lays bare his soul on his real-life rapid descent into schizophrenia. You would think it would have been enough to be a pivotal member of both the Jefferson Airplane and Moby Grape, but Spence’s legacy is forever set by this solo masterpiece. Dark, uncomfortable, morose and yet occasionally humorous (his short homage to Johnny Cash kills every time). A must own lp. This is the original first Dutch (!) issue. Cover has some staining and minor shelf wear. Disc has light scuffing but plays great!
