Description
Alexander Spence/ Oar. Columbia CS 9831. Orig. US 1969 pressing (red 360 sound label). Cover is VG+ w. moderate edge wear, some ring wear, smudges and tiny name of former owner written on back upper left corner; LP is also VG+ with some scuffs and a few small scratches; it plays with some light surface noise and a few ticks here and there, but no skips. Still very enjoyable. Nice player copy of an ultra rare psych acid folk LP from renegade Moby Grape drummer and acid casualty Skip Spence. This has been acclaimed over the last decade as one of the hidden masterpieces of late 60s psychedelia, because it so strenuously avoids all the cliches of late 60s psychedelia. For a change, the clamor is justified. Here's a decent and very respectable copy, but one not for the pristine minded collector.
