Hello, you are bidding on a “lot” of 10 used stereo lps, 7 of which are individual releases and one Box Set made of 3 lps.  These are all by India’s classical master of the Sarod, Ali Akbar Khan.

Instruments include: sarod, tabla, tamboura. 

I met Ali Akbar Khan once when he visited Anchorage for a sarod workshop and a concert the next day.  I hold Ali Akbar Khan in high regard as he visited Anchorage in the winter time.  As an FYI, he used a curved coconut shell piece as a pick on his sarod.

Condition of  covers and lps:

01) CLASSICAL MUSIC OF INDIA – ALI AKBAR KHAN – Former library donation.  When the Anchorage Library had an lp clearance in 1993. I bought it.  The cover has strapping tape along the top and bottom and has a library sticker on the cover and inside label.  The lp has some scratches on Side 2, which don’t affect play.

02) NORTH INDIAN MASTER OF THE SAROD – ALI AKBAR KHAN – Former library donation.  When the Anchorage Library had an lp clearance in 1993. I bought it.  The cover has a library sticker on the front cover and on the inside lp label.  LP:  has light scratches on Side 2, which don’t affect play.

03) GREAT DRUMS OF INDIA w/ ALI AKBAR KHAN – Purchased new. Cover still has shrinkwrap on it, no issues.  LP: no scuffs, no scratches, no skip.

04) RAGA MANJ KHAMMAJ / RAGA MISRA RAND - Purchased new. Cover still has shrinkwrap on it, no issues.  LP: no scuffs, no scratches, no skip.

05) KARUNA SUPREME – Purchased new.  Cover: gatefold cover, no cut-outs, etc., no issues.  LP: no scuffs, no scratches, no skip.

06) MORNING & EVENING RAGAS – Purchased used.  Cover has some cover peeling on front bottom and reverse side bottom.  LP: no scuffs, no scratches, no skip.

07) HALF MOON – Purchased used.  Cover is fine shape, w/ no cut-outs, etc., no issues.  LP: no scuffs, no scratches, no skip.

08) RAGAS OF INDIA – ALI AKBAR KHAN – 3 LP BOX SET - Cover: box is in fine condition, does have black tape where the box corner meets.  Has large booklet included.

Shipping: after the auction, I will mail you an invoice.  Buyers in the USA have an option of “cheaper/slower MEDIA MAIL at $6.50 or faster/more expensive FIRST CLASS at $27.00.  The rate for Canada is $47.00 and the rate for Europe, Australia, South America and Africa is $75.00.  I ship to most places with the exception of Israel & the Middle East.  US Media Mail can take anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks for delivery, just to let you know not to be in a hurry for it.  As a bonus, I’ll include digital copies taken from these lps for your listening enjoyment.
