Released in 1970, "Easy Action" was Alice Cooper's second studio album, following their debut "Pretties for You" the previous year. While "Pretties for You" was a somewhat experimental album, "Easy Action" sees the band starting to hone their signature sound, combining hard rock riffs, theatrical vocals, and darkly humorous lyrics.

The original pressing of "Easy Action" is a fascinating artifact of its time, showcasing the band at a pivotal moment in their career. The album opens with the title track, a rollicking number that sets the tone for what's to come. From there, the album veers from hard-edged rockers like "Refrigerator Heaven" and "Return of the Spiders" to more experimental tracks like "Beautiful Flyaway" and "Lay Down and Die, Goodbye."

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Mr. and Misdemeanor," a bluesy number with a memorable hook and some great guitar work. The song is a perfect showcase for Alice Cooper's theatrical vocals, which are at once menacing and tongue-in-cheek. I could only see some very light marks, but the vinyl still has a nice shiny “new” look to it. The light marks may cause some noise when played.

Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
