ALICE COOPER - EASY ACTION
STRAIGHT LABEL 1970 ORIGINAL FIRST UK PRESSING WITH E J DAY GATEFOLD COVER, IN ALL ROUND VERY GOOD CONDITION.
STS 1061
Released in 1970, this was the bands second release on Frank Zappa's STRAIGHT label. UK pressings of this album are getting harder and harder to find as most collectors are making do with US pressings. This copy I am offering today is not mint or excellent but it is certainly a very good copy. I have just listened to it from start to finish for these listing purposes and it plays through really well. No problems what so ever. I'm sure whoever adds this to their collection will not be disappointed. The fragile gatefold sleeve which was printed by the E J Day Group London & Bedford I also grade as very good as it is showing wear to the edges but is free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
For any bidders who have never heard this, be warned it is very different to the more commercial stuff he went onto not too long after this.
Tracks on this album are MR & MISDEMEANOR - SHOE SALESMAN - STILL NO AIR - BELOW YOUR MEANS - RETURN OF THE SPIDERS - LAUGHING AT ME - REFRIGERATOR HEAVEN - BEAUTIFUL FLYAWAY - LAY DOWN AND DIE GOODBYE.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually is showing some light scratches and audibly is in very good condition, it plays through really well with absolutely no sticks or skips or nasty pops etc.
The SLEEVE, The E J Day group printed gatefold sleeve is also very good, These fragile sleeves are prone to wear and this is showing wear to the edges and spine with most of the spine text rubbed away, there is also a small sticker removal mark on the front by the STRAIGHT logo which has been coloured in but overall this is a very good example of a very rare item that you will not see for sale too often.
The LABELS, The pink first issue STRAIGHT labels are very clean, free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNER, The generic white inner is clean with no splits etc.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc.
