ALICE COOPER Love It To Death LP 71 RARE ERROR MISPRESS TRACK B1 MISSING WS 1883
Alice Cooper - Love It To Death Warner Bros/Straight - WS 1883 Vinyl VG+ / Sleeve VG Matrix A: WS-1883 39778-1 Matrix B: WS-1883B-REV 3 39779-1This is a rare pressing of this Alice Cooper LP with track B1 "Is It My Body" missing from the vinyl! The song appears on the track listings on the sleeve and the label but is not on the record - side B starts with track 2 "Hallowed Be My Name" - you can see in the photos there is a lot of extra dead wax on side B due to the missing track. There appears to be no other difference in the mixes or track order from other early Warner Bros pressings. Dark green labels and side A matrix numbers are consistent with other original WB pressings but matrix numbers on side B appear to be unique from any other known copies. Why this record would be pressed without track B1 is a mystery - we can't find any info on this one. The vinyl is VG+, has a few noticeable scuffs but plays great. Gatefold sleeve (with airbrushed cover and "I'm Eighteen" box) is VG, has noticeable ringwear, a water stain in one corner and a seam split across the back bottom that has been sloppily taped back together. This is a great, unique item for collectors - who knows when another copy of this pressing will turn up!
