ALICE COOPER Pretties for you 1ST LP 1969 Warner Brothers STS1051 STEREO
Original U.S.A issue in gatefold sleeve.Alice Cooper's debut album reflected none of his legendary, grotesque hard rock; instead, Pretties for You was an ambitious stab at acid rock and psychedelic rock. At this time, the name Alice Cooper referred to the band as well as its lead singer. The music has a psychedelic flavor to it but also a sonic similarity too The Stooges and MC5. The group had yet to develop the more concise hard rock sound that they would become known for. The song "Reflected", Alice Cooper's first single, was later rewritten as "Elected" (which featured on their 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies).
