So here's a really rare one...
My uncle was an assistant to ALFRED NEWMAN whom was the head of 20TH CENTURY FOX music department from the 1940's-60's.
From his collection I am selling many of the signed records, and all of the unusual movie/record related albums. This record measures 12" but plays like a 78?
I have dug up some history, much more I am sure....
This record is from a movie, "THAT NIGHT IN RIO", 1941, directed by Irving Cummings, starring ALICE FAYE, CAMREN MIRANDA, and DON AMECHE.
This production routine record has the picture name on it as "ROAD TO RIO".
However, a November 15, 1940 HR news item noted that Twentieth Century Fox had to change the title from ROAD TO RIO because of a title conflict with Paramount.
I realize the pictures are hard to see but here is a written description. On the white part of the record, typed, is BOA NOITE, ALICE FAY & Orch.
TITLE: CHICA CHICA BOOM
ARTIST: Alice Faye, Don Ameche and Orch.
PICTURE: ROAD TO RIO TFC 28 Beverly Hills California.
On the flip side:
TITLE: "THEY MET IN RIO"
ARTIST: PRODUCTION ROUTINE

This film apparently marked the sixth and final filming of Alice Faye and Don Ameche and the first film in which Carmen Miranda played a character with the name other than her own.
"According to modern sources, Faye and Ameche recorded and filmed the song "CHICA CHICA BOOM, CHIC" as a dance number, but only the sequence of Miranda and Ameche singing the song is in the released picture."

None of my records have been cleaned and they mostly have some smears, fingerprints, and light surface scratches.
There is no record sleeve for this record. It will come wrapped in really lightweight foam.
I do not know how to grade records so I list them as VG-VG+. See my feedback, I always under grade to be safe.
I ship using a 5''x14"x14" ish box with lots and lots of padding.
