This is a first European pressing of Jar of Flies/Sap. Not the first owner, I’ve had it for a few years though. There are one or two visible scratches (see photos) and general groove wear. There is pretty consistent soft crackling throughout especially in quieter spots. But nothing overly distracting. There is still a much richer, deeper sound on this pressing than the 2024 reissues as well as the 2010 MOV (which I also owned at one point). It’s the quintessential pressing of this album regardless of slight surface noise on this particular copy. There is also some top edge wear on the cover, the spine has a skinny crease down the middle from the gatefold opening, but it’s still completely intact with no tears. I would give the vinyl VG and the sleeve VG+. I think an ultrasonic clean would probably bring out the best in this copy, possibly raise it to VG+, but that’s not something I do, so hopefully you can bring out its full potential.
