Description
- Here is a vintage JOHN COLTRANEhand signed autograph. Alice Coltrane signed as well. The signatures are possibly between the dates 1965 to 1967. John married Alice in 1965. John died in 1967. The signatures are inside a "BOHEMIAN CAVERNS" souvenir photo program. The outside front cover says "John Coltrane Quartet" on the bottom as part of the original printing from this club. No photo inside sorry. The "BOHEMIAN CAVERNS" closed in 1968 during the Civil Rights era of the United States 1960's Black movement and civil unrest. The "BOHEMIAN CAVERNS" was located at 2001 Eleventh Street N. W. Washington D.C. I think the club was reopened in 1999. My guess is that this "no photo inside" but autographed by John and Alice Coltrane souvenir was signed between the dates 1965 to 1967. I don't have an exact date on this one. It is the real deal. SORRY NO COA. I will back this souvenir real signed (not a reproduction) possibly one of a kind signed card as being 100% the real deal. If I'm wrong on the autographs being the real deal I will refund the winning bid 100%. No refund on buyer's remorse. Two week limit on return. No refund after two weeks.
- The card is in fair shape.It has a notch cut out of the front cover. The card is a fold over type with four sides like the table stand-up type (see photo). It measures 4 1/4" x 6". John's signature is smeared and his last name Coltrane is clear. Alice's first name Alice has the first three letters in her name Alice are smeared. The Middle name Mcleod and her married last name Coltrane are readable . One of the two wrote thank you at the top. Please see photos for what it looks like and what you will receive. There is some aging to the card. Some spots seen. There is a front cover surface abrasion seen on the right with light paper tear to the surface. There is black marker pen writing on the back cover that crossed out the cover charge and raised the price of the minimum per person per show. Please see photos for what you will receive.
