Description
This is arguably the 'Holy Grail' of ALL ABOUT EVE memorabilia.
It is the 12" MAYKING white label test pressing of the band's first ever recording.
On one side it says on the label : MAYKING Records Ltd TEST PRESSING side: A Cat No: 1 EDEN Date: 11 Juin 1985 (It says 'Juin' as it was made in France).....The other side just has the onbody label is blank other than the MAYKING Records Ltd TEST PRESSING and side B
On the rather torn and worn outer white paper sleeve there is a personal note from the record company exec to Julianne explaining:
"The A/AA was cut the wrong way round..." and that this copy was the corrected one, and note ends with "Ring and let me know if it sounds OK to you, so I can go ahead with production"
A UNIQUE item indeed.
I don't know how it plays as have got rid of record player but there seem to be no visible scratches.
On the b-side of the actual vinyl, on the outward spiral, the immortal scratchings of Tim state"CUZZINS IS INCHWORM"
