This is a fantastic LP from 1972 which brings together the teaching father Alla Rakha and the prodigal son Zakir Hussain on an LP record the first time!.. and what an amazing record this has turned out to be. Each and every second is treasured with immaculate Indian rhythmic bliss and expert tabla playing! Alla Rakha performs a solo in surphakta taal, Zakir performs a char taal ki sawari on his own and on side two they do jugal bandi (playing together) on two improvisations one in teen taal and one in ek taal. Absolutely fantastic! Cover M-, disc EX+!
