Description
SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!! This is a reasonably priced PERSONALLY AUTOGRAPHED ORIGINAL 1981 U.S. PRESS FOLKWAYS RECORDS STEREO LP titled 'First Blues', an album of rags, ballads, and harmonium songs by New York City and San Francisco 'beat' poet, political activist, and Fugs collaborator Allen Ginsberg. It is Folkways Records catalog number FSS 37560, packaged in the style of a vintage 1950s-era Folkways Records album with heavy cardboard cover and insert with song lyrics and musical tablature. This LP was previously owned by a person who managed a record shop in New York City during the 1970s and 1980s - As shown in my accompanying image, this LP has been PERSONALLY AUTOGRAPHED on the front cover by Allen Ginsberg. Allen Ginsberg sings and accompanies himself on the Benares harmonium. Album was recorded in 1971 through 1974 - Tracks: 4 AM Blues: New York Blues / New York Youth Call Annunciation, Come Back Christmas: Macdougal Street Blues, CIA Dobe Calypso, Put Down Yr Cigarette Rag, Slack Key Guitar: Siratoka Beach Croon, Bus Ride Ballad Road To Suva, Prayer Blues, Dope Fiend Blues. Visual condition of record is a real nice VG++ with just a couple of light surface and sleeve marks which are only under strong light, cannot be felt, and do not affect play. Condition of cover is a real nice VG+/NM- with just a little bit ot ring and contact wear and a little wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no splits, writing, tears, or stickers. This PERSONALLY AUTOGRAPHED LP would be a choice essential addition to any Allen Ginsberg or political / satirical folk or rock record collection! Winning bidder pays $3.00 media mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - Uninsured first class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe is $13.50 - Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the LP if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
