ONE OF ONE IN EXISTANTCE  ALLMAN BROTHERS 1st LP TEST PRESSING FROM ATLANTIC RECORDS

 

I was given this test pressing of this Allman Brothers lp from a man at Atlantic Records in the late 70's.  Back in records days, after a final mix, a test pressing, often 3 to 4 were made to see how it related to what the desire was. If not....back to scratch for the band to the studio to redo the whole session.

 

So this is unique indeed.

It is protected in a plastic sleeve, and played perhaps 15 times since I was given this by an atlantic engineer I knew since 1980.

It sounds GREAT. I've held this dearly to my heart, as well as an Aretha Franklin Test pressing, also never released, which will be listed also, along with Allman Bros Beginings Album, and a few others.

Sadly bills for my heart hospital are immense. I never thought I'd have to sell these. 

Please treat it with respect and take care. I never let anyone even make a copy.....I am an engineer also and take very very good care of anything I own. This has been taken special care of.

Feel free to ask questions. I am in the hospital now, but asked my assistant engineer to fish this and a couple out.
