Description
This is a fine copy from a 1974 U.S. reissue of the third LP by the Allman Brothers Band, a live double LP originally released in 1971. The group was somewhat radical for the period, especially for a "Southern rock" band, for having a person of color, percussionist Jai Johanny Johanson, as one of its members. The performances on this LP were recorded over two nights. The first disc presents covers of blues/R&B classics like "Statesboro Blues" and "Stormy Monday," while the second disc contains three group compositions. The group stretches out in concert, with three of the tracks clocking in at 12+, 19, and 22+ minutes. It was to be the last record the group released before guitarist Duane Allman's death in a motorcycle accident. The gatefold jacket has light ring wear and light wear around the edges -- EX(+). The discs have some hairline scrapes and light scuffing, and play with some light surface noise (EX). The record comes with the original label inner sleeves.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
