On offer is an original 1972 pressing of the Allman Brothers Band's double LP Eat a Peach, Capricorn 2CP 0102. The records come in a matte gatefold cover.
Three of the four record sides play great, sound great -- full and bright. They grade Excellent by the Record Collector magazine definition "The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality." On the other hand Side 2, which is a 20-minute track of Mountain Jam, has two scratches that affect the playback sound. There are no skips of jumps. But the first scratch makes a light click on each rotation of the record for about one-third, or approximately the first six minutes, of the track. The second scratch comes somewhat later and can be heard for just under two minutes. The pops do not overpower the music. But they are definitely noticeable.
The gatefold cover is in very good condition. There are no splits, creasing or tears and there is only light wear. But there is some soiling, ring wear and a few tiny white spots to the cover. See photos. Also the initials P.M. written in the bottom right corner. The graphics on the inside of the gatefold are very bright and clean.
