ALMA Gluck (1884-1938):

She was born Reba Feinsohn in Romania and moved to the United States at an early age.   Her initial success came at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.  Her recording of "Carry Me Back to Old Virginny" was the first celebrity recording by a classical musician to sell one million copies and was awarded a Gold Disc.  She was a founder of the American Woman's Association.

She recorded several Christian hymns in duet with Louise Homer including "Whispering Hope" which is included in this group of records.

We offer these 8 ALMA GLUCK 78 RPM Records Plus the Record Holder.  

A Nice Group and we include the Unused Record Holder that will hold 12 records.

These records are on the Victrola or Victor Bat Wing Labels from around 1908 + or -.

All records are very nice and shiny and play well -- a well kept group of 78rpm records

These Records are in very good condition -- all are single sided records as shown -- all nice and shiny -- some light scuffs -- nothing major -- all play very good - strong sound with a little scratchiness as expected but not major.
