CURT BOETTCHER

Along Comes Mary (Rare Early Recording)

Original 1966 Davon Metal Acetate Disc

Near Mint Condition • See photo below!!!!

This is perhaps the most historic piece of vinyl I have ever seen: Tandyn Almer and Curt Boettcher's original demo recording of the Association's "Along Comes Mary." Curt is clearly singing the lead on this rare recording. This recording of "Along Comes Mary" was probably used as a guide for the Association to learn the tune. The label lists "Davon Music Catalog," and "Along Comes Mary (Tandyn) vocal" is typed on the plain label. Tandyn Almer was the writer of this legendary tune. Tandyn was an amazing and prolific writer who also wrote with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. (The tune was "Sail On Sailor.")

The truly amazing aspect of this acetate disc—aside from its historical relevance and rarity—is the fact that it appears to be unplayed. The only flaw being a VERY TINY minor blemish along the edge of the disc (outside of the groove area). This in no way affects the playing area. This one-of-a-kind metal acetate disc can be played on a conventional record player.

I'm not even going to try and guess how many of these could possibly still exist. Bid accordingly.

Winner adds $7.50 shipping and handling (insured), foreign slightly higher. I ACCEPT PAYPAL, US Money Order, or US check.
