CONDITION

During my 45 years' experience of handling vinyl records, I have learnt that the grading of these discs solely by a visual inspection is frequently inadequate and unreliable. Each record that I offer for auction on EBAY has therefore been fully and attentively test played, just prior to being listed, using my 'Project' turntable with 'Ortofon' cartridge. 

I would rate the disc as being in 'excellent minus' condition with 6 or 7 separate isolated ticks on each side. The surfaces are generally quiet, but please note that there are periods of light surface crackle, although I found that these were not too intrusive and did not really detract; this unfortunately is usually the norm on these ancient mono records. However it is probable that further playing and/or cleaning would help. 

The quality of this noted recording is impressive, with a bright piano sound, and plenty of character in the playing of Cortot - aged 77 years at the time of recording.

The centre hole has no wear, and there are no spindle trails visible on the labels. The vinyl has clean surfaces with a good sheen and looks pristine.

The outer sleeve is in 'excellent' condition with no damage, and just very slight storage wear.

PACKAGING

The record will be supplied in a Japanese anti-static inner sleeve, and the original inner sleeve will also be supplied.

A transparent protective cover for the outer sleeve will be provided. 

The record will be packed separately from its outer sleeve in order to prevent damage in transit.
 
A robust purpose-made stiffened mailing box will be used for shipping.

It is my policy to use only those Royal Mail Services which require a signature upon delivery, and in addition provide for levels of compensation, should these be necessary in the event of loss or damage during transit.

Postage costs will be combined for multiple purchases where appropriate.

RETURNS POLICY

I operate a no-quibble returns policy so that if you are in anyway dissatisfied with the item, and it is returned to me within 14 days of receipt, I will refund the full purchase price (including postage costs). If however you believe that my description of the item is inaccurate, I will also refund the cost of the return postage.
