Beethoven: Symphony No.9 in D minor, Op.125
Wilhelm Furtwangler conducts the Orchestra and Chorus of the 1951 Bayreuth Festival. Soloists include Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Elisabeth Hongen
Both records have surface marks and so for this reason we have played them to assess. They play without skips or jumps but there is surface noise. To us this was bearable BUT if you are searching for excellent or better copies, we are sorry but its best to look elsewhere. The sleeves, particularly ALP 1287 are damaged. They are bruised with laminate lifting and ALP 1287 has the tear along the front
