ALP 1645 red/gold – BACH: PARTITAS Nos. 1 & 2 FOR PIANO – ROSALYN TURECK
1958 HMV mono recording on red/gold label, catalogue number ALP 1645, Rosalyn Tureck playing Partitas Nos. 1 & 2 for solo piano by J S Bach.
Disc is clean and shiny with fabulous sound quality overall. Side 1 has 3 noticeable ticks (not loud) and 5/6 very faint ticks. Tracks 2-5 on Side 2 have only 5/6 very faint ticks in total BUT Track 1 has ticks and crackles for the first few seconds, plus about 20 light ticks towards the end of the track. It is still a great record! The sleeve is VERY scruffy with many creases, worn edges/corners and laminate lift.
